Alien. Gravity. Dark Phoenix. Bad stuff happens when movie characters go to space.

Twentieth Century Fox has released a third and final trailer for its latest X-Men installment, which is an adaptation of one the comics’ most famous story lines, centering on the transformation of telepath Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) into the titular villain.

The latest trailer showcases Jean’s metamorphosis into Phoenix, after she absorbs a cosmic force during a rescue mission with the X-Men in space. Once she returns to Earth, Jean begins to battle the evil presence within her, leading to A LOT of chaos and destruction.

Dark Phoenix, opening June 7, marks the directorial debut of screenwriter/producer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and features the return of stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler).
