What Highlights is to the pediatrician’s office, an Enya album is to the day spa. And the Irish chanteuse’s painstakingly produced fifth studio album, A Day without Rain, certainly won’t alter that perception. Full of ”spiritual” musings built around Enya’s gorgeous vocals and delicately enveloping choruses, Rain‘s ecclesiastical tones may soothe stressed-out souls. But will it enlighten them? Unless you’re bound in an herbal body wrap, there’s simply no acceptable reason to listen to this New Age nonsense. D
