Jason Mraz to join the cast of Waitress on Broadway
Sugar, butter, flour … Jason.

Jason Mraz is headed to the diner.
The Grammy-winning artist will make his Broadway debut as Dr. Pomatter in Waitress this fall.
Mraz will officially join the company Nov. 3 for a 10-week run as the married physician who gives the titular waitress, Jenna, a new outlook on life when they begin an affair.
Though he’s trading his coffeehouse vibes for scrubs and a pie shop, Mraz is no stranger to the music of Waitress. He previously recorded “Bad Idea” and “You Matter to Me” with composer Sara Bareilles on her album What’s Inside: Songs from Waitress, a collection of pop recordings of songs from the show.
Waitress made headlines when it opened back in 2016 for being the first Broadway show with an all-female creative team. The show is launching its national tour this fall as well, beginning in Cleveland in October.
