What Really Happened? to be first podcast from Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia production company
There are many sides to one story — and a new podcast is aimed to uncover them.
What Really Happened? is a new documentary podcast series by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia's Seven Bucks Productions company that will take listeners deep into the unknown side of historic news stories while trying to find out if what we think we know ever really even happened.
Johnson and Garcia will serve as the show's executive producers, with filmmaker Andrew Jenks as the narrator. In this exclusive clip, Jenks reevaluates some of history's misunderstood stories about famous figures and historical events. <iframe src="https://art19.com/shows/d37d9d35-3118-4ddd-98e2-54b698fa8b61/episodes/97821806-1353-4db7-9d20-de8c75fa1d5d/embed" scrolling="no" width="100%" height="460" frameborder="0" class="" allowfullscreen="" resize="0" replace_attributes="1" name=""></iframe>óöó[ñiκo¦¸ãœom5ßßmÖÛçNý
"We've picked some of the most talked about stories in history and are going to unpack the truth for our audience," says Johnson. "We are excited to have Jenks on board to help share these stories and utilize a medium of storytelling the Seven Bucks team hasn't used before."
Each episode of What Really Happened? will focus on an infamous story involving a well-known figure, such as Muhammad Ali, Princess Diana, and Adolf Hitler, and even Chris Christie. Britney Spears' 2007 breakdown and why Michael Jordan left basketball are among the divisive topics that will be addressed in the podcast.
This is the first podcast from Seven Bucks Productions, which has developed a full slate of TV and film projects, including HBO's Ballers and the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In addition to expanding their brand to include a digital content company, the company recently announced the launch of an advertising agency as well.
What Really Happened? debuts Oct. 25 on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
