Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria expecting baby 4 months after miscarriage: 'Just got the great news'
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin's baby on the way will join big sisters Carmen and Ireland, plus big brothers Romeo, Leonardo, and Rafael.
Almost five months after Hilaria revealed she had suffered a miscarriage — her second within a seven-month span — the Mom Brain podcast host and fitness instructor revealed Monday afternoon that she is pregnant again.
“Sound up … I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” Hilaria, 36, captioned a video of her bare belly, with the baby’s heartbeat audible.
“Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you🤍 Here we go again 💫,” she added.
The baby on the way will join big sister Carmen Gabriela, 6½, plus brothers Romeo Alejandro David, 2 next month, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 3½, and Rafael Thomas, 4½. Alec, 62, is also dad to 24-year-old daughter Ireland from his previous relationship with Kim Basinger.

“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months. We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be,” she wrote alongside a video of herself with daughter Carmen.
“We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this. I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too,” she continued in the caption.
“I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all … but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time,” Hilaria went on. “I’m really devastated right now … I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say … I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear.”

Hilaria opened up in February about how she goes to therapy “pretty much every week” in the wake of her second pregnancy loss, which helped her take steps toward happiness as she recovered physically and mentally.
“There is nothing to lose by going to someone and talking. I said it from the beginning: I wasn’t ok when it happened, but I knew that I would be and I wanted to be,” she wrote. “For myself, I really needed to choose happiness in such a difficult time. And I needed to work very hard for it.”
“I had to tell myself that I deserved to heal and to be happy again. This lesson became my mantra,” she wrote. “Processing and going through grieving was important, but I didn’t have to be condemned to a life of emotional punishment and suffering.”
Hilaria recently chatted with PEOPLE about how she and her family are practicing social distancing during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, sharing that they have migrated to a more rural location away from their New York City home as the virus continues to spread.
The real-life lessons both the kids and their parents are learning amidst the global health crisis? The ability to look at the big picture, and understand even more about the importance of their time together, The Living Clearly Method author explained.
“Alec and I were complaining about it a week or so ago and Carmen was asking about it and I said, ‘Carmen, nobody wants to be doing this right now. It’s frustrating for us all to have to stop our normal lives,’ ” Hilaria said. “And she’s like, ‘I don’t know what you guys are talking about, I love this. I love spending time with you. All I want to do is spend time with Mommy and Daddy and my brothers.’ ”
“And it kind of stopped us in our tracks and our mouths were open and we were like, ‘Okay, let’s go with that mentality, because that sounds so much better than complaining, which is what we’ve been doing!’ ” she added.
