The best dressed stars on the Oscars red carpet

It rained in Los Angeles on Sunday, but that didn't stop the stars attending the 92nd Academy Awards from stepping out in their best. Here are our top 10 style picks from the 2020 Oscars red carpet.

A consistent red carpet style star, Janelle Monáe continued her long tradition of stunning, inventive looks at the Oscars. Breathtaking in a sparkling, hooded Ralph Lauren creation, she looked like an intergalactic Joan of Arc — in the very, very best way.

Natalie Portman was elegant in gilded Dior, but the look had added meaning: She had the inside edge of her cape embroidered with the names of eight female filmmakers whom the Academy — which once again nominated five men for Best Director — did not recognize.
