Rita Moreno wore her 1962 Oscars dress again to the 2018 ceremony

Style truly is timeless!
Rita Moreno proved that some looks really never go out of style when she showed up to the 90th Academy Awards in the same gown she first wore to the Oscars in 1962. The actress arrived on the red carpet Sunday in a black strapless dress with a full, patterned skirt, which she wore when she won the Best Supporting Actress award for West Side Story.
“The fabric is obi, which is the what Japanese women use on their kimonos folded over and over,” she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet when he asked about the recycled look, expressing surprise that it was still in such great condition all those years later. “You think it would tarnish! It’s been hanging in my closet,” she added.
Moreno’s daughter previously revealed that her mom would revisit her ’60’s look, and apart from a slight adjustment to the strap and neckline and the addition of a glamorous gold necklace, the Puerto Rican actress reprised the look perfectly.
The One Day at a Time star is presenting an award at this year’s ceremony.
