Jimmy Kimmel didn’t let Matt Damon off easy in his monologue at Sunday’s Oscars ceremony: Although he started off by saying he wanted to “bury the hatchet” with the actor, he quickly proved that their playful feud wasn’t about to end.

“When I first met Matt, I was the fat one,” he began. Then he called Damon a “selfish person” before commending him for unselfishly allowing the Oscar-nominated Casey Affleck, a childhood friend, to star in awards season darling Manchester by the Sea instead of himself. Then he went back to the barbs.

“Then he made a Chinese ponytail movie instead,” Kimmel said, referring to this year’s The Great Wall. “And that movie, The Great Wall, went on to lose $80 million. Smooth move, dumbass.”

The drama, which has mostly made headlines for its whitewashing controversy, didn’t do that badly — though it has yet to break even since its Feb. 17 wide release: According to Box Office Mojo, it’s earned $129 million worldwide so far on a $150 million budget. Critically, it has a measly 35 percent on Rotten Tomatoes compared to Manchester by the Sea’s stellar 96 percent.
