Ariana Grande's fashion evolution, from Yours Truly to thank u, next
The (not so) many looks of Ariana Grande
Much has been said about the total brand overhaul that Ariana Grande has embarked on over the past year, but far fewer words have been spoken about her fashion evolution. The Yours Truly Tour (2013)
Here we see the young Ariana, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. She models barrel curls, sequins, and something that her fans will never see again: her knees.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (2014)
And thus begins the era that is occasionally referred to by grandparents as the "Where are her pants?" years. The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards
Don't let the bangs or the Sporty Spice-themed outfit fool you: Underneath the slight aesthetic departure lies the same old Ariana. How do we know? Well, the high pony, of course.

The 2016 American Music Awards
The end of the brief pants-related interlude (#PauseforPants), this was also the point at which Ari's pony began to take on a life of its own.

The Dangerous Woman Tour (2017)
It's the pony's world, and we're just living in it.

The streets of New York City (2018)
And from this day forward, we shall (basically) never see Ariana Grande in anything but a sweatshirt and thigh-highs again.
