After sharing her vocal chops on This Is Us, star Chrissy Metz is taking her talents to Las Vegas — not to take up residency (yet), but to perform on Sunday’s ACM Awards.

Metz will join Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, and Maddie & Tae to perform “I’m Standing With You.” The Diane Warren-written song — and all those artists — appears on the soundtrack for Breakthrough, the true story which stars Metz as Joyce Smith, whose teenage son drowned, was pronounced dead, and miraculously came back to life as she prayed over his body.

“The song is so beautiful, and I think it needs to be heard,” Metz told EW Thursday while promoting Breakthrough, in theaters April 17, adding that it was an easy decision to make her live performance debut with this song. “The fact that the other girls who are on the soundtrack — including, of course, Lauren, Carrie, Mickey, Maddie & Tae — I’m like, listen, I’m going to push past the fear and do this because it’s something I’ve always wanted. At the end of the day, after being prepared and who knows what goes on during the day, but what’s going to happen is going to happen, and if I stay present and authentic then that’s all I can ask of myself. You know? I’m just excited about it.”

Breakthrough, based on Smith’s 2017 memoir, The Impossible, also stars Topher Grace, Josh Lucas, Marcel Ruiz, Dennis Haysbert, and Mike Colter.

Reba McEntire will host the 54th ACM Awards, airing Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The Breakthrough soundtrack is available here.
