The Jonas Brothers are back with a new single and week-long takeover of The Late Late Show
Get ready for the return of the JoBros!
On Thursday, Joe Jonas surely sent some Jonas Brothers’ diehard fans into a tizzy with a tweet confirming new music from the band is on the way. Six years after they originally split, the brothers are burnin’ up again, marking a reunion that has been rumored to be in the works for some time. Joe’s tweet included a link the boys’ new single “Sucker” — available to pre-order now. His caption simply reads “Midnight ET,” the time “Sucker” will drop.
If the midnight single isn’t enough of a Jonas fix for you, fear not; James Corden has you covered. The brothers will join The Late Late Show host for a week-long takeover from Monday, March 4 to Thursday, March 7. They’ll kick the week off by sitting down with Corden for an exclusive interview, sharing their reasons for getting the band back together now. Then, throughout the week, the band will take part in sketches, songs and various other Late Late Show segments, including “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” and “Carpool Karaoke.” Of course there’ll also be the world premiere musical performance of their new single, “Sucker.”
The Late Late Show tweeted the news on Thursday, with a video of a short clip. “It’s nice to finally be able to tell someone,” says Nick in the clip. “We’ve been keeping this a secret now for almost 7, 8 months.”
The Jonas Brothers first hit the scene, capturing teenage girls and guys’ hearts, back in 2005 after a run on the Disney Channel propelled them into the spotlight. The three brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick released five albums in four years, before deciding to split in 2009. Joe and Nick both went onto successful music careers (and high-profile romantic relationships) beyond the band, with Joe serving as lead vocalist in funk-pop band DNCE since 2015.
