Logic salutes 'Keanu Reeves' in new track

Posted on

No time like John Wick: Chapter 3 trailer time to drop a new Keanu Reeves-named track.

On Thursday, rapper Logic dropped a new song with the title “Keanu Reeves.” He also references the movie star in the chorus by name-dropping “The One,” the moniker for Reeves’ Neo in The Matrix.

“I’m the one, b—, I am the one, like Keanu Reeves/ Get it done, yeah, I get it done, no blood on the leaves,” he spits.

Logic brags about private jets and court-side seats, but the lines also poke fun at himself. “When them soccer moms pull up in they van while I ride/ Like, ‘Oh my God, children, it’s the 1-800 guy,'” he raps.

Logic first performed the song in April at the Movin’ On Festival at Penn State. The 28-year-old then teased a potential release this past Monday with a video of him rapping the song. Then, within 24 hours of Lionsgate unleashing the first trailer for Reeves’ latest outing as assassin John Wick, “Keanu Reeves” hit the airwaves. Coincidence?
