UPDATE: As might be expected, Tiffany Haddish's story about seeing another actress bite Beyoncé has spurred much speculation and investigation into the identity of said actress.

Responding to a Twitter user's speculation, Haddish herself denied that the biter was Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson.

Two more names that surfaced early were Sara Foster (90210) and Sanaa Lathan (Love & Basketball), but both actresses denied the possibility.

"Flattering that anyone thinks I could get this close to Beyoncé," Foster wrote on Instagram alongside a screenshot of a request for comment.

"Y'all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would've been a lovebite," Lathan tweeted.

The mystery continues.

Meanwhile, Haddish reiterated her support for Beyoncé in an Instagram post, writing, "To me she is a Shero and a Great person I have learned so much from her in just a short amount of time. So no matter what she has a Unicorn? that has her back."

EARLIER: Tiffany Haddish says she once saw an actress bite Beyoncé in the face. You read that right.

Back in December, the breakout Girls Trip actress attended a party with Beyoncé and JAY-Z and later described an encounter in which an unidentified actress apparently earned Beyoncé's scorn by touching JAY-Z's chest. The incident is believed to be the inspiration behind Beyoncé's line on the recent DJ Khaled single "Top Off" that "If they're tryna party with the queen/ They gon' have to sign a non-disclosure." Haddish is more than willing to sign an NDA, but in a new interview with GQ she elaborated on the encounter, saying that the actress went further than chest-touching — she actually bit Beyoncé.

"There was this actress there that's just, like, doing the mostest. She bit Beyoncé in the face," Haddish told GQ. "So Beyoncé stormed away, went up to JAY-Z, and was like, 'Jay! Come here! This b—' and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, 'What just happened?' And Beyoncé's friend walked up and was like, 'Can you believe this b— just bit Beyoncé?'"

By Haddish's account, she encountered Beyoncé several more times over the course of the night and even offered to beat up the offending actress. But Beyoncé demurred, apparently telling Haddish, "Tiffany, no. Don't do that. That b— is on drugs. She not even drunk. The b— is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.'" (Representatives for Beyonce did not confirm this story to GQ).

Haddish concluded her story by noting, "There's people out here biting Beyoncé!"
