Francia Raisa stepped out at PEOPLE’s Ones to Watch Party on Wednesday night, rocking a white-colored pantsuit and a see-through bodysuit that revealed her kidney transplant scar.
The 29-year-old actress — who has appeared on The Mindy Project, Dear White People, and Black-ish — made headlines in September after donating her kidney to best friend Selena Gomez. “And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa,” Gomez wrote in an Instagram post following the procedure. “She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”
Raisa has been proud to share her scar in recent weeks. In a September Instagram post captioned, “Happy to be back,” Raisa showed off her stellar physique during the middle of a workout routine.
Gomez received the transplant due to her ongoing battle with Lupus. She addressed her challenges in the Instagram post, writing, “I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you.”
