Miley Cyrus transforms Cardi B's 'Bodak Yellow' into a pop anthem
Watch her belt a new take on the No. 1 song
Miley Cyrus transformed Cardi B’s No. 1 hit “Bodak Yellow” into a pop anthem during a segment of “Musical Genre Challenge” on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show.
Following Jimmy Fallon’s Latin take on Sublime’s “Santeria,” Cyrus hopped into her “Bodak Yellow” pop rendition, standing and requesting some extra lighting effects for added oomph. “I don’t dance now/ I make money moves,” she sang, adding a catchy melody to the song.
Fallon chimed in with background vocals to round out the brief performance. You can watch the full clip above.
Cyrus kicked off the show alongside Adam Sandler in a performance of Dido’s “No Freedom” to honor the 59 dead and more than 500 injured at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on Sunday. Cyrus concluded the show with “The Climb,” a song that she recently performed for the first time in six years.
Cyrus will appear on The Tonight Show for the next few days as part of “Miley Week.”
