Marilyn Manson was injured during a Saturday night concert in New York after a stage prop crashed down and crushed the 48-year-old singer in the middle of a song.
“Manson suffered an injury towards the end of his NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital,” a rep for Manson told Rolling Stone. According to Variety, a rep for Manson said the singer was “fine” despite being hospitalized.
Manson was performing a cover of the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” when he walked toward the back of the stage, which was adorned with two massive prop guns. In fan-shot video of the incident, a flash of light is seen before Manson grabs onto the structure and the guns fall over, crushing the singer.
Manson’s Heaven Upside Down tour started Wednesday in Maryland and is scheduled to last through December. It’s unclear if any dates will be affected by Manson’s apparent injury; he’s scheduled to perform in Boston on Monday.
