The two music legends joined forces onstage
Paul McCartney brought out fellow music legend Billy Joel to perform Beatles classics “Get Back” and “Birthday” during his One on One tour stop at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Tuesday night.
After kicking off the mini-set with “Get Back,” McCartney addressed a screaming crowd to ask, “Is anybody in the house here who’s got a birthday today?” Though neither McCartney nor Joel have theirs in the coming months — they celebrate in June and May, respectively — the former Beatles singer dedicated the song to “anybody who’s got a birthday anytime this year.”
Following his Tuesday show, McCartney tweeted photos of the two onstage together with a short message: “Rockin’ with the Magic Piano Man,” he wrote, with one of the images featuring the two icons interlocking hands.

Joel isn’t the only musician to bring even more star power to McCartney’s tour in recent weeks. The 75-year-old musician also brought out Bruce Springsteen to perform “I Saw Her Standing There” during a concert at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.
