Sunday night was already a big one for Dr. Dre, with his new documentary The Defiant Ones debuting on HBO, but the legendary rapper also used the premiere to release a new song.

During the first entry of the four-part event, which focuses on the relationship between Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine, the new Dre track “Gunfiyah” was featured.

It’s the first single from him since he dropped his long-awaited third solo album Compton in 2015. Any new music from the N.W.A. alum is noteworthy considering he went 16 years between Compton and his previous album 2001 (released in 1999).

Despite his lack of music output, Dre continues to be a towering presence in the industry between the 2015 release of Straight Outta Compton and his involvement with Apple Music via their purchase of Beats by Dre.
