Mariah Carey honors Manchester attack victim Martyn Hett: 'We will cherish your memory forever'
Mariah Carey paid tribute to Martyn Hett, a popular online personality who died in the Manchester attacks earlier this week, on Wednesday with an Instagram post featuring a photo of the late Hett.
“Devastated to learn that one of the victims in Manchester was part of the #Lambily,” Carey wrote, referring to the name her fans go by. Hett’s Twitter bio includes, “My life peaked when I met Mariah Carey.”
“RIP Martyn Hett,” she continued. “We will cherish your memory forever. His family and all the families affected are in my thoughts and prayers.”
Hett was one of 22 who died in the bombing, which occurred after an Ariana Grande concert in the U.K. city. Grande, who was not physically harmed, tweeted shortly after that she was “broken.” “From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry,” she said. “I don’t have words.”
