Haim debut new song in Paul Thomas Anderson-directed clip
Their new album, 'Something to Tell You,' drops July 7
Haim released “Right Now,” a new track off their upcoming album, Thursday morning along with a video of the band’s three sisters — Este, Danielle, and Alana — performing it directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
This is the first cut they’ve released off the new record, out this summer. “This is where we start… live in the studio,” Haim wrote on Twitter alongside the video. “There’s more to come, but this is it for right now.”
Earlier this year, Haim took EW inside the sessions for their anticipated album — and they explained what’s taken so long to follow up their critically acclaimed debut, 2013’s Days Are Gone.
“We write everything, we play everything, and we help produce everything,” Danielle said. “These things take time, and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.”
“To get to Days Are Gone, it took us seven years,” Alana added. “We’re super excited for the next chapter, to just tour our hearts out and really hit the ground running in 2017.”
Haim’s next collection, Something to Tell You, arrives July 7. Hear “Right Now” above, and catch them performing on Saturday Night Live’s May 13 episode.
