It's the first taste of her new album 'hopeless fountain kingdom,' out June 2
Halsey already had a massive 2016, but she’s planning even bigger things for 2017.
The singer just released her woozy new single “Now or Never,” which is the first taste of her upcoming album hopeless fountain kingdom, due June 2.
“Now or Never” was produced by Cashmere Cat (The Weeknd, Tory Lanez), Benny Blanco (Ed Sheeran, Kesha), and Happy Perez (Miguel, Frank Ocean). The “Now or Never” video, which you can watch above, was co-directed by Halsey and Sing J Lee and shot in Mexico City.
For hopeless fountain kingdom, Halsey also worked with Greg Kurstin (Adele, Ellie Goulding) and Ricky Reed (Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony).
Last year, Halsey’s collaboration with the Chainsmokers, “Closer,” was a No. 1 single for 12 consecutive weeks. She also contributed a song, “Not Afraid Anymore,” to the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. And while her previous solo singles didn’t crack the upper echelons of the Hot 100, the “New Americana” singer still managed to sell out Madison Square Garden while touring in support of her 2015 debut, Badlands.
