Florida Georgia Line just took their Backstreet Boys collaboration to the next level.

The country group teamed up with the boy band at the ACM Awards for a performance of their single “God, Your Mama, and Me.” And after performing that tune, the group immediately launched into an explosive version of the Backstreet Boys’ 1997 smash “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” complete with back-up dancers, pyro, and strobe lights that illuminated the entire arena.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the crowd leapt to their feet, including Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.

Last fall, Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelly told EW that the band’s friendship with Nick Carter led to their collaboration on “God, Your Mama, and Me.”

“Nick just started hollering at me and Tyler,” Kelley said. “He was going back and forth between Nashville and L.A. doing some writing and some song searching, so I passed him some songs and folks. And he ended up on our bus before our CMA set in June [2016], and the song was mastered, we had already done all of our vocals, but he loved it. A week later they were putting their vocals on it!

EW also went behind the scenes of the music video earlier this year. “We’re buds now,” the Backstreet Boys’ Kevin Richardson said of the experience. “It’s just a real positive vibe. It’s been a pleasure and an honor to do this song with them.”
