As 13 Reasons Why fans wait for the release of the Netflix adaptation (out this Friday), Selena Gomez — an executive producer on the series — teased a snippet of her contribution to the soundtrack: a heavy, smoky cover of Yazoo’s 1982 hit “Only You.”

Tweeting to fans that the track was “inspired by Hannah and Clay’s story,” Gomez’s ballad is accompanied by equally heavy slo-mo shots of two high schoolers who seem deeply enamored with one another — Hannah (Katherine Langford) and Clay (Dylan Minnette), who are at the center of this drama about the former dying by suicide and leaving behind a series of tapes about the struggles she faced prior to her death.

The series and soundtrack are slated to drop on March 31st. Hear the “Only You” clip above.

Based on the 2007 novel written by Jay Asher, the Netflix drama follows a teen named Clay who attempts to figure out what led his classmate and crush, Hannah, to commit suicide.
