Rihanna’s smash hit “Umbrella” turns 10 today — if you want to revisit the video, you should do that here. But in honor of the incredible track’s birthday, we want to make sure you’re also aware of the cover Mandy Moore did just a few months after its release.

In the video created for Yahoo, the “Candy” singer and eventual This Is Us star admits she’s not even really into pop music, “but you just can’t deny how melodic this song is.” And then she totally crushes it, giving it a bit more of a chill, breathy vibe while still staying true to the saucy video playing behind her.

Moore’s 2007 was a busy one. In addition to that killer cover, she released her fifth album, Wild Hope, and her films License to Wed and Dedication hit theaters.

Moore is no stranger to a cover. In fact, part of her transition from pop princess to creating more mature, folksy tunes included her 2003 album of other singers’ work, Coverage, which features songs by Carly Simon, John Hiatt, Joni Mitchell, and more.
