Kendrick Lamar calls out Donald Trump on new track, 'The Heart Part 4'
Kendrick Lamar is back: The Compton, California rap star dropped a new song late Thursday night, “The Heart Part 4,” taking aim at his competition and President Donald Trump in the process.
“Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel, punk,” Lamar raps on the track, his first new music since releasing untitled unmastered in March 2016. “Tell ’em that God comin’/ And Russia need a replay button, y’all up to somethin’/ Electoral votes look like memorial votes/ But America’s truth ain’t ignorin’ the votes.”
“My fans can’t wait for me to son ya punk ass and crush your whole lil sh–,” Lamar raps. “I’ll Big Pun ya punk ass, you a scared little bitch/ Tiptoein’ around my name, n—a, ya lame/ And when I get at you, homie, don’t you just tell me you was just playin’/ Oh I was just playin’ with you K-Dot, c’mon/ You know a n—a rock with you, bro/ Shut the f— up, you sound like the last n—a I know/ Might end up like the last n—a I know/ Oh, you don’t wanna clash? N—a, I know/ I put my foot on the gas, head on the floor/ Hoppin’ out before the vehicle crash, I’m on a roll/ Yellin’, ‘One, two, three, four, five, I am the greatest rapper alive’/ So damn great, motherf—er, I’ve died/ What you hearin’ now is a paranormal vibe.”
Lamar released “The Heart Part 3” in the months leading up to the release of his breakthrough 2012 album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. Whether a new record will follow suit after “The Heart Part 4” is unknown. But Lamar did offer fans a possible tease as to when an album might arrive, closing his latest single with a warning: “Y’all got ’til April the 7th to get ya’ll sh– together.” That means more fresh music could arrive before the MC closes out Coachella as the Sunday night headliner on April 16 and 23.
