Maroon 5, Future are left 'Cold' in new song
Don’t wish Maroon 5 a happy Valentine’s Day — it seems that the band is having some love problems judging by their just-released new track, “Cold.”
The electronic song — which features a verse from Future, whose first studio album debuts Feb. 17 — is upbeat, but the lyrics tell the story of a relationship gone cold, as the title indicates.
“Cold enough to chill my bones/It feels like I don’t know you anymore/I don’t understand why you’re so cold to me,” frontman Adam Levine sings in the chorus.
This is the band’s second single off their next album. Rich Lee, who helmed the band’s music video for “Love Somebody,” will direct the “Cold” clip. It drops Feb. 15 and sees Levine attending a dark, sexy party. Maroon 5 will perform the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the same day. Hear it above.
