Well, alrighty then!

While the world was busy fixating on Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance, there was another equally confusing concert happening out on the Hawaiian island of Maui: Jim Carrey joined Alice Cooper on stage for a pair of songs.

The actor, sporting a blue Hawaiian shirt, a scraggly beard that would have fit right in at the Golden Globes, and Cooper-esque eye makeup, hopped on stage with the legendary rocker to perform “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “School’s Out” at Cooper’s annual benefit concert for the Maui Food Bank and the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

“It’s over, it’s all over. 2017, it’s the end,” Carrey declared before the two played “School’s Out.”
