In our world: This is shrimp with marinated arrowroot noodle salad. In the galaxy: This is yobshrimp, a crustacean native to Naboo, considered a delicacy by Gungans.
In our world: Barbecue pork with grilled sausage, coleslaw, and peppercorn sauce. In the galaxy: A ronto is the giant, dinosaur-like domesticated beast that Jawas ride through Mos Eisley on Tattooine.
Fried Endorian Tip-Yip
In our world: Fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. In the galaxy: Tip-yip are the flightless birds found among the Ewoks on the green moon of Endor.
In our world: Barbecue pork ribs with blueberry corn bread. In the galaxy: A kaadu is the featherless-ostrich looking creature the Gungans ride into battle in The Phantom Menace.
The Felucian Garden Spread
In our world: For vegetarians, meatless meatballs made of vegetable kefta, with herb hummus, tomato-cucumber salad, and pita bread. In the galaxy: Still meatless, this is a protien from the world Felucia, known for its its vast array of colorful plant life.
Roasted Burra Fish
In our world: Roasted mahi-mahi, garnished with pumpkin seeds on a bed of roasted vegetables. In the galaxy: Burra fish are sea creatures from the world of Dathomir, the home planet of Darth Maul.
Ithorian Garden Loaf
In our world: Another vegetarian option, another plant-protein meatless meatloaf on mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. In the galaxy: A similar concoction of unknown origins, but enjoyed by the “Hammerhead” aliens known as Ithorians, like antiquities dealer Dok-Ondar
In our world: Beef pot roast with cavatelli pasta, kale and mushrooms. In the galaxy: Shaak is a rotund, beachball shaped herd animal found on the plains of Naboo in The Phantom Menace.
In our world: A raspberry crème puff topped with passion fruit mousse, and a chocolate cake with white chocolate mouse and coffee-flavored custard. In the galaxy: Star Wars culinary masters are still working on the backstory.
