Sacha Baron Cohen responds to Donald Trump's criticism of Borat 2: 'I don't find you funny either'
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020 Movie)
"Donald—I appreciate the free publicity for Borat! I admit, I don't find you funny either," Cohen tweeted. "But yet the whole world laughs at you. I'm always looking for people to play racist buffoons, and you'll need a job after Jan. 20. Let's talk!"
In the mostly surprise sequel to the 2006 mockumentary Borat, the Amazon Video release shows journalist Borat Sagdiyev's big return to the United States with his teenage daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova) in tow. Borat intends to gift Tutar to Mike Pence, though he decides Rudy Giuliani would be better suited after things go awry with the vice president.
Borat 2 was partially filmed during the pandemic which originally caused confusion as to what Cohen was shooting. The actor was spotted at a conservative rally at the end of June singing a racist song to a cheering audience. It was originally believed he was shooting a new season of his political satire series, Who is America.
Borat Subsequent Movie film is currently available to stream via Amazon Prime Video.
