Scarlett Johansson and Her Bachelorette Squad Assemble In Rough Night Character Posters
Rough Night goes off the rails
As the title suggests, Scarlett Johansson’s cinematic ladies night out doesn’t go quite as planned. What begins as a bachelorette party/college reunion at the start of Rough Night quickly becomes a wild evening of booze, partying, and a dead male stripper. In EW’s exclusive set of posters from the film, we meet the women at the center of the debauchery: “Better Off Wed” Jess (Johansson), “Lethally Horny” Alice (Jillian Bell), “Dope AF” Frankie (Ilana Glazer), “Dressed to Kill” Blair (Zoe Kravitz), and “Party Down Under” Pippa (Kate McKinnon).
Directed by Lucia Aniello, the film throws in Demi Moore and Arrow's Colton Haynes for good measure. Scroll through to see the new one-sheets and learn more about this quintet of characters.
Jess (Scarlett Johansson)
The Black Widow actress plays Jess, who's preparing for her wedding and her run for local office. When her bachelorette night takes a raunchy turn, all of a sudden both her future marriage and career aspirations threaten to crumble. Thankfully, she has her gal pals to back her up.
Alice (Jillian Bell)
The breakout of 22 Jump Street continued her comedic streak through Goosebumps, The Night Before, and Office Christmas Party. Now she plays Jess’ best friend and roommate from college. Alice may be a kindergarten teacher, but she also declared in the Rough Night trailer that they’d be “swimming in d—.”
Frankie (Ilana Glazer)
Glazer takes inspiration from her hit series Broad City for Frankie, who’s a totally “woke” activist who enjoys recreational drugs. She’s also the ex-girlfriend of Blair (Zoe Kravitz), but she’s over it — or so she thinks.
Blair (Zoë Kravitz)
Blair completes the quartet who shared a dorm floor in college. Now she brings the glam factor to the bachelorette party as a New York hedge fund mover, mom, and soon-to-be-divorcee, who believes her past relationship with Frankie was just a phase.
Pippa (Kate McKinnon)
“Singer-songwriter is the dream, party clown is the reality.” This is Pippa, Jess’ study-abroad flatmate from Australia. The bachelorette party is the free-spirit’s first trip to America, and it just might be her last.
