There's no denying he has great cinematic chemistry with Emma Stone, and, of course, we love him and his long-time love Eva Mendes. But nothing compares to stars colliding both on- and off-screen, like they did when the then real-life couple from The Notebook recreated their famous rain kiss while accepting Best Kiss during the 2005 show, making teenage girls around the world swoon.

Sacha Baron Cohen flies like an angel (and lands on Eminem's face)

While promoting his newest character, Bruno, it seemed as though Cohen took things a little too far when, while flying through the venue in angel wings, he landed, bare-bottomed on Eminem's face. Both audiences at the show and at home were left in shock as the rapper stormed off, leaving a string of NSFW expletives in his wake. Eminem later revealed that he was in on the joke.

Four years after Taylor Swift was informed who "really" had the best video of all time, Aubrey Plaza decided it was time to pull a Kanye on another MTV stage. As Will Ferrell accepted his Comedic Genius award, Plaza awkwardly walked on stage and attempted to take away his golden popcorn. The bit was reportedly unplanned and got Plaza kicked out of the show.
