"She’s such a terrific person in general that our chemistry sort of just naturally happened I think onscreen," DiCaprio said in a '90s interview with Entertainment Tonight. "We just like each other as people. I think that definitely showed [in Titanic]."

“Leo and I always had a laugh together," Winslet told Oprah Winfrey. "We always got on incredibly well... I was, like probably all the women in this audience are about Leonardo DiCaprio initially, I thought, ‘Ah! How am I going to work with this beautiful man? And he’s such a brilliant actor!' I met him and honestly, he’s so lovely and down to earth and normal and so good at what he does. But it was actually never about that. It was actually a real brother-sister thing. We’re very, very, very close and really stuck together."

Featured ahead of the release of Revolutionary Road, DiCaprio told EW of his costar, "Over the years, I would find myself stopping and saying, 'I don't know if we should do this again.' And then I'd think, 'What are you, an idiot? Why wouldn't I want to work with the best actress of her generation? Am I going to be prejudiced against a project just because Kate's in it?' I think we both had been actively looking for something else to do together, but we fundamentally knew that we couldn't tread on any sort of similar territory."
Winslet chimed in, telling EW of DiCaprio, "We have a level of understanding which I really don't have with another actor that I've ever worked with at all."

“Every time I talk about him I honestly want to burst into tears," Winslet said of DiCaprio on The Oprah Winfrey Show. "If you look at his career from Gilbert Grape to Basketball Diaries to Titanic, The Departed, Blood Diamond... for me, and I think for most of us, he is the leading actor of his generation. I just think everything he does is flawless. He gives 100 percent of himself.”

"In many ways he hasn't changed a bit, but in other ways he absolutely has changed..." Winslet told PEOPLE of DiCaprio. "He's a stronger actor in this moment than he's ever been. I think he's more handsome than he's ever been. And he feels, to me, the most settled he's ever felt, in himself, right now, which is quite strange, really, given that there's a lot happening around him... He's quite centered and calm, and that's different to the way he was 20 years ago."
