"For Laurie Strode, Michael Myers is her sole focus," says Jamie Lee Curtis of her character in the new horror sequel Halloween (out Oct. 19). "For a lot of people, out of sight, out of mind. For her, out of sight, out of her mind. She is out of her mind! Because she knows that Michael Myers is a threat, and no one else seems to take him so."
During the shoot for the new Halloween, the Michael Myers-playing James Jude Courtney kept his distance from Jamie Lee Curtis. "I just want her to have her space," he told EW on set. "Because, man, what we're doing, it’s intense stuff."
What has the incarcerated Michael Myers been doing for the past 40 years? "Very little, very little," says director David Gordon Green. "Absolutely nothing. In our version of the story, as in Carpenter's, he's an essence. He's not a character. There's no arc. He's Shape!"
