Once again, Michael B. Jordan is following in the footsteps of Sylvester Stallone.

In an interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz, Creed star Tessa Thompson confirmed that Jordan will not just star in Creed III but also serve as director.

"He is directing the next Creed," says Thompson, who is ready to use Jordan's new status as PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive against him. "It's going to be ammo, I think, for me when he is engaging with me as a director. I'm just going to tell him to dial down the sexiness."

"What's so interesting, I think, is that there's this enduring thing with [the franchise] being about the underdog," Thompson previously told EW of the Rocky and Creed series. "I feel like, in each of the movies, there's always someone behind the lens or in front of the camera that has something to prove just like the central character of the film. That's sort of embedded into the DNA of the movie and is something that resonates with audiences."

Currently starring in Sylvie's Love, Thompson says Creed III is set to start filming in 2021. But it's still unclear if she and Jordan will be joined by Rocky Balboa himself, Sylvester Stallone, who has starred in all eight films and directed four installments.

"I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide world for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years," Stallone wrote on Instagram upon the 2018 release of Creed II. "It's been my ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, sadly all things must pass… and end. I love you kind and generous people, and the most wonderful thing of all, is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you."

Now we just wait to see if Jordan and company listened to our suggestions for Adonis' next opponent.
