A friend like Genie
Life swiftly changes for Disney's beloved street urchin Aladdin (Mena Massoud, left) after releasing Genie (Will Smith, right) from his lamp.
A whole new love
An undercover Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) bumps into Aladdin as she wanders around the streets of Agrabah.
Street rat with a heart of gold
Ever the underdog hero, Aladdin shields two children from impending danger in Agrabah.
Princess Jasmine's new best friend
In the 1992 animated classic, Jasmine only had her pet tiger Rajah to confide in. But in Guy Ritchie's live-action remake, Jasmine (seen in her iconic green robes) has her best friend and handmaiden Dalia (Nasim Pedrad, left) to help her wade through the suitors who ask for her hand in marriage.
And Rajah fans needn't worry - the tiger will still be in the film.
One jump ahead
Aladdin and Jasmine flee from palace guards through a tannery, part of the extensive physical sets bringing Agrabah to life in the suburbs of London.
A princess of the people
A resplendent Jasmine stands on the steps of the Sultan's palace. In this live-action iteration, Jasmine's arc will see her seeking power in order to protect her people and become a leader.
The villianous grand vizier
The Sultan's advisor Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) has his own nefarious ambitions for procuring the magical lamp that houses the Genie. Here, Jafar is seen in his iconic black, red, and gold robes holding the lamp as he wishes to become the most powerful sorcerer on Earth.
Aladdin's beloved furry sidekick Abu stares in astonishment in the Cave of Wonders.
