Watch Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, and more chase the dot from a red laser pointer.

In case you haven’t been glued to the coverage of Cats, director Tom Hooper‘s movie adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, the actors have been talking about the “cat school” they went through to become more feline with their performances. So, James Corden, channeling the same version of himself that he uses for the Crosswalk Theater gags, took his Late Late Show audience inside the “real” Cats school.

The spoof sees Hooper leading Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson, and Francesca Hayward with Corden as his star pupil — all of whom, including Corden, star in the actual movie. They dressed up in cat costumes as they pretended to actually be cats, including one chase-the-red-dot exercise.

“Being a cat is a lot like being an actor,” Derulo says. “You sleep for most of the day, then scream at somebody if you need to, then eat a can of tuna, and you get to p— wherever you want.”

Swift aced the “meow”-ing portion, Derulo crushed the walking-through-a-door challenge, and Wilson was so good at ignoring everyone as a cat would. But who gets MVP of Cats school?
