STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER
The long wait to learn the name of Episode IX is over.
It’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
A new teaser trailer revealed the name of the new movie at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago on Friday, concluding a panel that gave the world its first insights into the Dec. 20 film.
Now that this question has been answered, new ones arise. What does it mean?
When Episode VII became known as The Force Awakens, fans wanted to know, “For whom?” “And has the Force been … sleeping? Dormant?”
With The Last Jedi, people wondered exactly who was the final member of that order. Rey? Luke Skywalker? And was “Jedi” singular or plural?
The mysteries of the Force are plentiful, and its practitioners are insatiably curious.
