Jimmy Fallon is trying to get Mark Ruffalo fired from Marvel.

Everyone is after those juicy Avengers: Endgame spoilers, but none of the actors can give up that kind of information. They are bound by the power of the NDA! So Fallon tried forcing Ruffalo’s hand by strapping him to a lie detector for Wednesday’s The Tonight Show.

He asked pretty specific spoiler questions, too.

Captain Marvel introduced the idea of Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens that secretly infiltrated earth in the 1990s disguised as humans. So Fallon asked, “Is the Hulk secretly a shape-shifting alien known as a Skrull?” Ruffalo said he couldn’t answer that, but the lie detector went crazy.

Ruffalo also set off the contraption when asked if there were any more secrets in the Endgame trailer that people haven’t figured out, and if Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff get back together in the film.

Just like Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, Ruffalo doesn’t have a great record of keeping secrets to himself. He’s been joshed by coworkers and fans alike after an old clip resurfaced of him seemingly revealing the twist in Avengers: Infinity War in 2017. So you can understand why he was a bit nervous for Fallon’s little quiz.

But Fallon kept asking questions, even about everyone potentially coming back from Thanos’ snap. That Ruffalo really couldn’t answer so he snapped himself out of existence. Fair.
