The big screen future of the Alien franchise may currently be uncertain — but you can’t keep a good Xenomorph down! 2019 is the 40th anniversary of director Ridley Scott’s original space-nightmare and to mark the occasion Twentieth Century Fox is releasing six short films set in the Alien universe from fan-filmmakers. The films include Harvest, about the surviving crew of a damaged deep-space harvester who have minutes to reach the emergency evacuation shuttle, and Specimen, in which a botanist attempts to contain suspicious soil samples that have triggered her sensitive lab dog.
The shorts will be released weekly on IGN, starting on March 29. Beginning May 3, they will be available on the official Alien social channels and Alien Universe website, along with behind-the-scenes content.
