Mary Shelley stars Elle Fanning (Super 8, The Neon Demon) as the real-life literary figure Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, a teenage dreamer who begins a love affair with the poet Percy Shelley (Douglas Booth) which will transform her and fuel the writing of her Gothic-horror masterpiece, Frankenstein. The film costars Maisie Williams, Bel Powley, Joanne Froggatt, and Tom Sturridge. It is written by Emma Jensen and Haifaa Al Mansour and directed by Al Mansour.
