When disaster strikes, there’s only one man for the job. Unfortunately, that man is Johnny English.
In the third installment of the Johnny English series, Johnny English Strikes Again — which debuted a new trailer on Thursday — the titular super spy (Rowan Atkinson) is in retirement and teaching at a prep school. When a cyber attack reveals the identities of all the undercover agents Britain currently has active in the field, the Secret Service has no choice but to turn to Johnny English to save the day.
When called upon by the Prime Minister (Emma Thompson) to track down the identity of the hacker, English explodes back on the scene (thanks to a slowed-down, remixed version of “Holding Out For a Hero,” as well as literal missiles). Reuniting with Bough (Ben Miller), the MI7 agent travels to the south of France for an adventure that includes virtual reality, magnetic boots, and of course, a mysterious woman. Inevitably, there are some mishaps along the way.
Directed by David Kerr and written by William Davies, the film also stars Olga Kurylenko and Jake Lacy. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Chris Clark serve as producers.
Johnny English Strikes Again is coming to theaters later this year. Watch the trailer above.
