Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead's mind-bending movie is out March 23
If you’re in the market for a twisty, unnerving, and downright weird horror movie, then we would point you in the direction of The Endless (out March 23), the third movie from filmmaking duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, which your writer had the mind-bending pleasure of seeing at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The writer-directors themselves star as brothers with very different memories of the commune-cum-cult in which they were raised as children and who decide to return to the very place they once fled. We’ll spoil no more, except to say that a just-released poster does a nice job of encapsulating the film’s phantasmagorical nature.
“We somehow finagled our way into getting Brandon Schaefer, the genius behind the Mondo poster for our last movie Spring, to create our theatrical poster for The Endless,” Benson and Moorhead tell EW, via email. “The result is this mesmerizing, colorful, epic beauty we just can’t stop staring at. We hope you all feel the same way about the poster, and also the movie itself when it sits in front of you on a gigantic, gorgeous, bright, loud theatre screen in March.”
