The first reactions to Justice League are coming online after Warner Bros. screened the film for select members of the media.

Usually, tweets from early press screenings skew more positive than the eventual detailed official reviews from the rest of the media once the embargo lifts. (Remember those gushing over the top the early reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?)

This time, however, the first-blush reactions are a bit all over the place — some critics seem to absolutely love Justice League while others describe it as having quite a few problems. In other words: It’s fun, yet flawed; a film with some thrilling moments showcasing each of its iconic heroes yet with some trouble holding together as a cohesive whole (and a villain that’s apparently particularly weak). Still, it all sounds far better than Suicide Squad.
