While Cole Sprouse is over at The CW (Jug)heading up on Riverdale, his brother is about to be back on screens, too. Dylan Sprouse, the other half of The Suite Life, stars in Dismissed, where he plays a kid who would totally be on the radar of Olivia Benson’s SVU unit as a budding psychopath — and EW has the first trailer.

Transfer student Lucas Ward seems like an exemplary pupil with a love of English, going above and beyond for that perfect grade. He’s certainly the favorite of high school teacher Mr. Butler. Then again, all rising serial killers seem that way. The signs start to show when Lucas gets a B+, bringing out his unyielding need to be the best at everything. He also purposely causes a science experiment to explode in a classmate’s face.

Just as an added reminder, this is not Cole Sprouse. This is Dylan Sprouse, despite the Riverdale-esque Dismissed poster bathed in that familiar neon light.

Dismissed marks Sprouse’s return to acting after playing Zack in the Suite Life series and movie.

He put acting on hold when he moved to New York from Los Angeles to study at New York University. “I’m interested in roles that are human, that have some sort of empathic quality,” he said earlier this year in an interview with the Daily News. “A role I would not do: cool jock. That’s not something I’d be interested in doing. Scripts that make characters a two-sentence description, I’m not interested in.”

Directed by Benjamin Arfmann and written by Brian McAuley, Dismissed also features Kent Osborne, Randall Park, Chris Bauer, Rae Gray, and Alycia Delmore. The film will open on VOD and digital platforms on Nov. 21.
