Peter Rabbit is a party animal in first trailer for revamped children’s story
This is not your parents’ Peter Rabbit.
The beloved pants-less bunny rabbit from the Beatrix Potter stories is getting a contemporary makeover in the first trailer for the animated film set for a February 2018 release.
Peter, voiced here in all his churlish glory by James Corden, is a fun-loving rabbit who orchestrates house parties at Farmer MacGregor’s (Domhnall Gleeson) place. This is just the beginning of their escalating feud when the two begin to compete for the attentions of an animal lover (Rose Bryne) who moves in next door.
Other Beatrix Potter characters will join in the fun, including fellow rabbits Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail, voiced by Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley.
Watch the trailer above for more laughs in this irreverent take on the classic children’s character.
