After premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and quickly getting snatched up by Netflix, Mudbound — directed by Dee Rees (Pariah) — is heading to the Toronto International Film Festival with a new trailer to boot.
Set in the rural American South during World War II, the film spins an epic tale of two families in the shared farmland of the 1940s Mississippi Delta. It stars Jason Clarke, Carey Mulligan, Rob Morgan, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Mitchell, and (a much buzzed about) Mary J. Blige. A lot happens. Take a look.
Mudbound will launch on Netflix and in select theaters Nov. 17.
