The film is, of course, the fourth movie in the supernatural-horror franchise — which began with director James Wan’s 2010 hit Insidious — and once again stars the great Lin Shaye (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Dumb and Dumber) as parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier. This this time, Rainier will face her most personal haunting yet — in her own family home.
Yikes, yikes, and thrice yikes!
Insidious: The Last Key is directed by Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan) and written by Leigh Whannell, who has penned all the films in the series and directed the previous entry, 2015’s Insidious: Chapter 3. The movie is produced by produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, and Wan.
