The 'Iron Man' pair reunited with Robert Downey Jr. for an on-set photo
As if the next two Avengers films didn’t already have enough famous familiar faces, Jon Favreau and Gwyneth Paltrow appear to be the latest to join the epic superhero team-up.
On Tuesday, the Iron Man director reunited with his stars Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. on what seems to be the set of Avengers 4, with all three looking to be in costume.
“Infinity Trinity #infinitywar,” Favreau captioned the photo, which was also shared by Downey.
While Favreau referenced Infinity War, which is the official title of Avengers 3, that film has already wrapped filming. That would suggest that the trio, who recently appeared together in Spider-Man: Homecoming, are likely taking part in Avengers 4, which was previously known as Infinity War Part 2.
This would be the first Avengers appearance for Favreau and and second for Paltrow. Favreau, who serves as an executive producer on the franchise, portrays Happy Hogan, bodyguard to Tony Stark/Iron Man (Downey), while Paltrow plays Pepper Potts, Stark’s love interest.
A spokesperson for Marvel declined to comment.
