BBC Culture polled more than 250 critics to answer that question — but we want you to vote, too
In this current, often-scary/stressful news climate, it feels like we could all use a bit more laughter in our lives, and comedies are a great way to provide it. But which comedy is the best one?
It’s a question Britain’s BBC Culture tried to answer by polling more than 250 film critics from around the world — including EW’s Christopher Nashawaty — asking them to name their picks for the 10 best comedies of all time. (You can see his rankings, along with all the others, here.)
From there, the BBC compiled a list of the 100 best comedies of all time, from a tie for the No. 100 spot between The King of Comedy and The Ladies Man, all the way to Some Like It Hot as No. 1.
You can read through that full list here, but we want you to weigh in as well. BBC’s top 10 is listed in the poll below — cast your vote for which one you think is the greatest comedy of all-time, or suggest another comedic gem in the comments.
