Is there a more talented (or beloved) character actor than Harry Dean Stanton? Here at EW, we think not. So, it gives us great pleasure to announce that New York’s Quad Cinema will celebrate the career of the legendary Twin Peaks actor with an extensive retrospective called “Also Starring Harry Dean Stanton.”

The retrospective kicks off on Sept. 22 and will include screenings of around twenty Stanton films, including Ridley Scott’s Alien, John Carpenter’s Escape from New York, Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ, Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas, Alex Cox’s Repo Man, John Milius’ Dillinger, David Lynch’s The Straight Story, Arthur Penn’s The Missouri Breaks, Monte Hellman’s Ride in the Whirlwind,  and the John Hughes-penned Pretty in Pink.

(Wow. This guy really has been in a ton of great movies.)

The Quad will also be screening Stanton’s new film, Lucky, from Sept. 29. Directed by John Carroll Lynch, the movie also features David Lynch and Ron Livingston, among others.

Watch the trailer for Lucky, above.
